Clear Insurance

Clear Insurance

How confident are you in your Club’s insurances? Having the right insurance for your Club is important!

Insurance can be confusing and it’s dangerous to make assumptions about the types of insurances your Club needs.  Dire consequences such as closure of a club can occur if the right insurances aren’t in place.

Engaging an expert and seeking professional insurance advice will reduce this risk. The right advice offers peace of mind for Club managers, board members and protect against the risk of incurring expensive legal costs for decisions that may affect the Club’s livelihood.

What types of insurances do Club’s generally need?

  • Fire & Perils Insurance (for the Club’s Building, Contents, Plant, Equipment & Machinery);
  • Public & Products Liability;
  • Management Liability (Directors & Officers Liability, Professional Indemnity, Employment Practices Liability, Statutory Liability, Internet Liability, Crime, Tax Audit);
  • Voluntary Workers & Directors Personal Accident;
  • Business Travel;
  • Motor Vehicles;
  • Equipment Breakdown;

Note: Please note the above summary is an example of the insurances a club may need. Each club needs to be assessed and appropriate advice provided for their individual risks and circumstances.

As a Club Manager or Committee Member, some questions to ask yourselves are:

  • Do you make decisions on the daily operations of your Club? Does your Club have Management Liability Insurance to protect you as a Director and/or Officer of the Club?
  • Do you provide advice to your members? Do you offer training, publish newsletters or promote your club’s activities?
  • Can you sleep at night knowing your personal assets are safe from expensive legal battles?

QFSR Skills Alliance has partnered* with Clear Insurance to provide you with an opportunity to determine if you are adequately insured.

If you have any concerns about your Club’s insurances contact Lisa or Kate for clear insurance advice today on (07) 3174 5015.
