This module aims to help you develop the basic skills, knowledge and key processes necessary to establish, implement and manage a successful fundraising program. A planned and systematic approach to all fundraising activities is essential in today’s competitive environment. By the end of this module, you should be able to:

  • recognise and apply the key principles of effective fundraising
  • identify the legal and taxation implications that apply to fundraising
  • propose various alternatives to fundraising
  • analyse the different types of sponsorship and the key benefits of each
  • propose ways to plan, sell and service sponsorships
  • develop a written sponsorship proposal
  • evaluate the benefits and outcomes of a sponsorship arrangement
  • analyse the criteria, objectives and requirements of different grant types
  • apply the grants process to maximise the chances of grant success
