The effective and efficient marketing of sport and recreation organisations is essential in today’s competitive environment. By the end of this module, you should be able to: · recognise and apply the key principles of effective marketing · conduct formal and informal marketing activities · develop a marketing plan to suit your organisational requirements · analyse and apply the principles of effective promotions · evaluate the benefits and suitability of various promotional methods · propose ways to develop successful relationships with the media · develop a media release to maximise the chances of gaining media coverage · analyse the characteristics and benefits of using different types of media · create a media crisis plan to manage the impact of an organisational crisis
